Great guesthouse very clean and nice touches in room like slippers and shampoo and shower gel in bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Close to the main town and beach but still far enough away to be peaceful. Jan and Gary are a lovely friendly helpful couple. We loved it so much we have booked our son and daughter-in-law in for a weekend break the end of June and my husband and I are going back in July.

Excellent local guest house. Very warm welcome. Clean, comfortable accommodation and a hearty breakfast. My brother and I recently had a very enjoyable 2 night stay at this establishment as we were participating in a 26 mile marathon hike on behalf of MacMillan Cancer.

Me and my mum visited here for 4 days, the twin room was lovely, very clean, homely. The hosts were fantastic and very friendly. Our breakfasts were absolutely amazing and they best breakfast I’ve had staying in a b & b. Easy to get to the beach and amenities. Will definitely be back again next year. Cannot recommend The Marden enough. Thank you both so much for a fabulous stay.

Received a very warm welcome from a charming couple, room was excellent could not find any faults with it, location was superb for any activity you wanted to do and the breakfast, easily the best I have ever had in a guest house, if you’re going to Weymouth this is definitely the place to stay.

Jan and Gary went out of their way to make sure everything was spot-on, even for a bunch of eight old geezers. Mountains of toast and buckets of tea to wash down an excellent breakfast and they even laughed at our terrible jokes. The whole place is immaculate. Recommended.

Spotlessly clean and comfortable in great location. Excellent breakfast, plentiful and well cooked with plenty of choice. Room and on-suit shower was spotlessly clean. We had Room 5 at the top of the house so a few stairs to climb. Was bright and cosy.

The rooms were great! Lovely comfortable beds and great bathroom! Great supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious too with a great variety available to choose from. Perfect stay for our family mini break to Weymouth! We will definately be coming back!

We booked our first post Covid trip away and found this great guest house. Jan and Gary were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Smart bedrooms which were spotless. Very quiet and a great nights sleep. Literally a five minute walk into town. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day. Will definitely be back and would recommend this gem to friends and family.

Room so shiny clean and very comfortable beds, everything you want from coffee biscuits to shower gel it had it all… I am looking to come again and I’m a cook myself, The breakfast was spot on… I cant fault you well done very happy customer.
